"Rabat Diaries: What I Wear in a Week" by Verena Im

When packing for Rabat, I was so stressed about what clothes to bring. I checked the weather app constantly, but it still didn’t help me figure out what would actually feel appropriate for daily life, not just what the weather predicted.
One of my first purchases in the medina was a long coat, and honestly, it saved me. In January and February, I wore it every day, it gets surprisingly chilly, especially in the mornings and evenings, and it was a lifesaver on rainy days.
Since March, though, the weather has warmed up a lot. The sun makes it feel much hotter than you’d expect, and you’ll definitely find yourself wanting to shed layers. Lately, I leave the house in a light sweater, which usually comes off during the day and goes back on at night when it cools down again.
My biggest packing advice for a spring semester in Rabat: bring a solid winter jacket and a good light sweater for warmer days. And don’t stress too much, if you forget something, you can always find plenty of options in the souks.
So, what might a week of outfits look like? Take a look below.
