"Automobiles of Amman" by Benjamin Schmida
When I arrived in Amman one of the many things that surprised me was the prevalence of immaculately preserved classic cars. The most common being Mercedes, but spend enough time walking around the city and you will notice all manner of classic BMW’s, Land Rovers, Mini Coopers, Corvettes, and Mustangs. New sports and luxury cars are no rarity either, walk around the ritzier areas of Abdoun, Abdali, and Sweifieh, and it will be hard not to notice the abundance of Mercedes G-Wagons, Porsche 911s, Ferraris, Bentleys, and Maybach’s. If that’s still not enough for you then take a trip to the Royal Automobile museum in Amman to see a collection of the current and previous Kings vehicles. Below, are a collection of photos of classic and contemporary cars I have spotted during my time in Amman.
