Bonjour, ssalam u 3alaykum, and hello!

Since there are precisely one trillion cafés in Rabat, here is a comprehensive review of the ones I have tried:

  1. Awal Cafe – 9.5/10! I love this place. I probably spent the most time here out of everywhere I have been in Rabat this semester, including Amideast. There are always kittens and the staff is so nice and the food and coffee are amazing! My go to order was a cappuccino and a chicken sandwich; make sure to ask for a punch card so you can get a free drink!

  2. Cozy café – 8.5/10! Very yummy and good service, just not as cozy as the name implies and kinda loud. AMAZING raspberry ice cream!

  3. Boumalek Delice – 5/10! It was very close to my homestay in L’Ocean, but I ordered a cappuccino and they gave me what I would consider a milkshake.

  4. Connect Café – 7/10! My sandwich and coffee were solid, but the seating options are kind of limited for a ‘coworking space,’ both inside and outside.

  5. Hatch Café – 7.5/10! Very friendly staff, the waffle was atrocious but the coffee was honestly the best I’ve had in Rabat and seating options were amazing. I got an americano with oat milk. Good WiFi and plenty of outlets too!

  6. La Fournée – 7.4/10! Very close walk from the Amideast building! I sat upstairs and it was quite comfy and my cappuccino was tasty, but no outlets and WiFi was mid.

  7. Boho Cafe - 4/10! My pumpkin bread was wet, seating was limited, and my latte was bright gray. That’s all I have to say.

  8. Cafe La Doree - 7/10! This one is in L’Ocean and was mostly filled with old men smoking, but I sat on a comfortable couch and my espresso was delicious.

  9. Sunway Cafe - 8.5/10! Also in L’Ocean, not a great study spot but yummy coffee and pretty good french fries!

  10. Versailles - 8/10! Sitting outside is better here, because it is right near the ocean! The food wasn’t the best, but I enjoyed the ambiance a lot.

11. Kiki’s Cafe - 9.5/10! Okay, this one is in Casablanca, not Rabat, but I am obsessed with it!! Everything is pink and princess themed, but the WiFi is amazing and I paid 80 dirhams for the Healthy Breakfast, including avocado toast, bread, yogurt, a cappuccino, lemon juice, and pancakes! It was all delicious.

Happy sipping, my 9hwa/café lovers!!
