"Patterns of Moroccan Architecture" by Destany Best
Please enjoy a poem referring to the patterns I have seen represented in the Moroccan architecture.
In the heart of Morocco, where tales unfold,
A land of patterns, mysteries untold.
Through narrow streets, a treasure trove,
Moroccan architecture, a feast for the behove.
As I wander through the ancient maze,
A symphony of patterns, my senses ablaze.
Tiles of zellige, a kaleidoscope of hues,
Intricate designs, a dance that ensues.
Each mosaic whispers a story untold,
In geometric wonders, their secrets unfold.
From the Alhambra's grace to Marrakech's embrace,
Patterns speak a language, an intricate trace.
Shapes interlock, like puzzle pieces keen,
In the latticework, a mesmerizing scene.
I marvel at the arcs, the arabesque delight,
In the courtyard's embrace, bathed in soft sunlight.
In doorways and arches, a rhythmic ballet,
Mellifluous geometry, leading me astray.
Star patterns above, in the cool night sky,
A celestial dance, where wonders multiply.
Excitement bubbles, a learner's heart aglow,
To understand the language that patterns bestow.
From ancient tales to contemporary delight,
In every corner, a lesson takes flight.
I yearn to decipher the secrets they share,
In the walls, the floors, the open air.
A journey of knowledge, a quest to discern,
The patterns of Morocco, my eager heart yearns.
Through medinas and souks, my steps align,
With each passing moment, understanding shines.
The thrill of recognition, a joyful refrain,
As patterns weave stories, a vivid terrain.
Oh, Moroccan tapestry, unfold before my eyes,
A canvas of wisdom, where beauty never lies.
In every curve, in every line,
A celebration of knowledge, an eternal design.
